F.A.Q.

F.A.Q.

YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

I wanted to write something about “why choose me.” Then I realized that this door-to-door salesman technique doesn’t align at all with who I am.

For a while now, I’ve been advocating that it’s pointless to build a persona on the website and social media that doesn’t correspond to who you would actually meet in real life if you decided to come to me..

So, I’ve chosen to respond to a series of questions, which, incidentally, I believe are the ones I’m asked most frequently, in such a way that you can understand whether your perspective on wedding photography aligns with mine or not.

stile

How would you describe your style?

I like to describe mine as an authentic and timeless style.

Authentic because I don’t like to intrude on what I’m photographing. I want the wedding to go exactly as it would have if I weren’t present.

Timeless because I like to follow an aesthetic that is modern and fresh but at the same time not too tied to the current fashion, to avoid the risk of my shots appearing outdated in a few years

.

Black and white or colors?

The black and white makes an intimacy that in my opinion, can hardly be given by the same color shot.

A color photograph, however – if well executed – can tell a lot about the place, the season and the atmosphere.

What I’m trying to do is to understand which is the approach that most enhances a shot in coherence with what it wants to communicate. Usually a set of photographs is delivered as homogeneous as possible between colors and black and white.

Is it possible to have some photographs edited in both color and black and white?

Of course!
I will make the choice I like the most at the time of post-production, but you can easily ask me the other version if it is more to your liking.

Can we see more of your reportage?

Yes, it is possible, but privately.

Some couples do not like their photos being posted online.
You can therefore see some full reports only via a private link that has been previously approved by these couples. This policy guarantees the privacy of my customers.

What about group photographs?

I do, I do…

Both because grandmother or aunt always want to have, and because group photographs have always been part of our social roots and testify to our being “social animals”.

Do you take photographs posing for the bride and groom?

My style is very linked to photojournalistic reportage, but I don’t like to stick with an inflexible label.

So if by pose photography means a moment of a quarter of an hour of spontaneous intimacy between the spouses, willingly.

Because of my languid gaze and my hand resting in that exact way, I leave the task to colleagues more competent than myself in this area.

organizzazione

How many photographs do you deliver?

You will be given everything taken cleaned and “roughed”.

Usually during a wedding – depending on how full this is – between three and four thousand photographs are taken.

DO YOU EDIT ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

No, only a selection of the entire shot is edited. Difficult to give a precise number, but usually more than 600 shots.

The rest of the shot will still be delivered, net of errors, duplication, etc…

What is the price for a photo shoot?

Let’s start with one of the most frequently asked questions.
It’s hard to give a precise answer, because my weddings are tailor-made.
The needs of couples are so different that it is difficult to give a precise answer without knowing if preparations, the album, where the wedding will take place, etc…

But I can tell you that the price range starts from a minimum of about 1,400 € to get up to 2,700 € of services accompanied by valuable albums and multiple services.

Do you work with a second photographer?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

The complexity of the event has a big impact on this decision, but one thing that is by far related to this choice, is the willingness of the spouses to have photographs during the preparations.

There is no rule engraved in the stone, but it tends to be quite tiring to be alone where the spouses want shots during the preparation of both.

What is certain is that the presence of two professionals, always gives a broader point of view and an extra security even at the organizational level.

Where do you live and how far away are you?

I live near Brescia, in a village between the city and Lake Garda.

I never needed to set boundaries for travel.

As for Italy, I love to drive and I have my beautiful car that allows me to load it like a van and go everywhere!

Do you offer drone service?

I have long been skeptical about the use of the drone, I saw it a bit as an outrage to photography.

In fact, then I got to know this world and I got over this fundamentalist vision, discovering that the drone gives an unusual point of view really exciting.

But I stress that it is not a real service, as it is always part of the photo shoot, but it can not be guaranteed because everything depends on the regulations and the weather of that day.

This is why it is not possible to guarantee it “under contract”.

Do you provide video?

No.
It’s not bad for professionals who do both, but sometimes I have the impression that a life offers little time to learn to do one thing right, let alone two!

But I collaborate with many videomakers that I got to know well over time and I will be happy to recommend some.

Is it possible to make a video call?

Of course, technology is good for everyone and why not exploit it?

It’s enough that you contact me and we’ll make an appointment, even after work or on the weekend.

How soon and how will we receive our photographs?

I usually guarantee delivery in ninety days.

It often happens before but I prefer to have a more comfortable margin especially for early summer weddings that are followed by a rather demanding amount of work that does not leave me time to edit the first.

However, the photo shoots are strictly delivered in chronological order.

For the mode, instead, the files are delivered on a stick or – if you like to safeguard the environment – via wetransfer or similar services.

How does the album and print part work?

First of all – of course – printing is not binding.

That said, the possibilities are virtually endless: from the various types of more or less expensive albums to boxes with fine art prints on museum cotton paper.

Often I am the first to propose to decide on what to do – later – once viewed together the shots

HOW IS THE DATE FIXED?

The date can be considered booked only and exclusively following the payment of the deposit corresponding to 40% of the amount.

The details of returning the deposit are outlined in the contract.
